DIY Inspiration: Ombre’ and Dip Dyed Shirts for Men and Women

I love  the dip dye/ tie dye  and ombre’ trends this season. I have never worn tie dye till this year, no joke. Never have I been a fan of the techno color pin wheel that tie day has always been to me till this season.  Three reasons why I like this trend, I like the term ombre’ which means graduated in tone, I tend to wear darker more saturated colors, and you can find it with out the pin wheel. Also this trend is awesome for me to wear check out this how to wear ombre’ article.

Here is my inspiration.

Fall Fashion Spoiler Alert

Fall fashion is far from our minds as the un official start of summer is upon us. It is never to soon to check out the next seasons must haves. The fall of 2012 is going to be all bout the pointy toed pump in a single level sole, with a metal toe cap details.  I am saddened to see the oh so comfy platform move out of the main stream.  What do you think of the pointy toe heels?

How to Wear Sheer Tops

Sheer tops and pants have been all over the recent fashion world.  The sheer top though, has some major and minor problems when it comes to actually wearing them out. The major one is the sheer factor being oh so sheer. What do you wear to cover your lady bits? The second is: How many shirts do I have to wear to pull this off? And can you really see my bra that much?

Here are my thoughts on the guidelines of the sheer top. If you do not want to layer a cami under your top, choose a sheer that has a pattern. A pattern will distract from and camouflage the bra underneath. Next tip is to wear a bra that blends with the top. For example, if you are wearing a pastel floral sheer top, you should wear a nude colored bra.

When wearing a cami under your sheer top, you have to have a good quality thin weight cami that is not dingy. I do not like to match cami colors to the color of the sheer top. Camis work best with neutral colors. Here is an example of a navy and red polka dot sheer top with a white cami and an ivory sheer top paired with a white cami.

Wedding Shoes

Wedding shoes were the hardest part of my wedding day attire. A good shoe for me had to have three things: They needed to be reasonably comfortable. The shoes had to have some decent quality, and I didn’t want them too trendy. I really wanted to look back at my wedding and not have to explain that was the style then. Those three requirements were harder to find than I thought. I actually didn’t have shoes until one week before the day and I kept the tags till the day just in case I found something better. Getting married outside in November brought on some interesting wedding fashion choices.
I ended up getting a Badgley Mischka pair similar to these.

With all the weddings that are coming up this spring and summer I wanted to do some wedding shopping for all of you brides to be.

How to Wear Dip Dye Ombre Trend for Men and Women

The Dip Dye Ombre trend is a trend that men can wear this season along with women.  Below are some ideas for ways to incorporate the tonal pieces into your wardrobe.

When wearing a color statement, try to wear it alone like the dress below, or with a neutral compliment piece like jeans. Layering over your dip dye can also help balance the outfit if you are looking to make a subtle statement.
